From Land of the Hornbills

Saturday, June 30, after check-out and having a breakfast, we moved to Santubong to visit Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV), located on the foot of Santubong Mount.  The sceneries along the way were so beautiful.  From far I can see the Santubong Mount.  Little by little we reached there.
Everyone was given a sticker to paste either on their cloth or scarf to enter the village.  Since we are coming in a group so the fees is a little bit lower because followed by a letter.  The place is so beautiful surrounded by a forest on the foothills of legendary Mount Santubong.  In front of the SCV is a Damai Resort with a beautiful beaches.

At SCV there is a cultural performance of songs, dances and entertainment in the aircondition theatre hall.  The show is about 45 minutes which is performed 3 times (Saturday), the rest of the day I have no idea, forgot to ask about.  This is something that you should not miss during your visit to Sarawak.  If you missed it, mean that your visit is not completed. I didn't wanna miss this, I got a seat at the second row. By the way, I was impressed and interested with one of the performer, a very young boy.  Nice looking and talented. At the end of the show, all audience are invited to join on the stage to dance, some of our group went up, I saw Munirah dance beside him. I wish I manage to meet him later (which I did).  I asked Munirah for his name.

After the show we went to visit all the heritage house belongs to Sarawak's ethnic diversity which portrays their respective lifestyle.  It is the most unforgettable experience being there.

After completing all the visit to the house, we end up at the SCV restaurant call Restaurant Budaya to get a drink.  We sat there to for a break.  It was my luck, the Ibanese performer  was there, his second show just finished.  I took this opportunity to take a  photo with him.  I mentioned his name and he looked shock and asked me how did I know his name.  Hahaha.. I remained quiet.  Finally....

SANTUBONG!!! I will be there again!!!!
