How To Make Face Cream

#Please watch the video of the making through the above web add.  I am unable to upload here since it doesn't youtube version.

Sally shows us another cosmetic we can make at home, a lovely face cream, which is great for nourishing and moisturising the skin.
Today, I'm going to be showing you how to make a face cream, a lovely moisturizing face cream. The ingredients that I've chosen to use are two different types of oils. I'm going to use avocado oil, which is rich in vitamins, your skin laps it all up, and rice bran oil, which is quite a light oil.

So, neither of these are going to leave a greasy feeling on your skin at all. We're also going to put in some water, and I've chosen rose water. Rose is very hydrating, but also smells lovely.

Now, we know that if we mix water and oils together, the two ingredients don't like each other. So we're going to emulsify it, using an emulsifying wax. That simply means it's going to allow the oil and the water to mix together, to form a cream, and stay as a cream.

We are going to melt the emulsifying wax with the oils in the small beaker, and we're going to gently heat the water in the larger beaker. For this recipe, which will make a decent-sized pot, we're going to use 12 grams of avocado oil and 12 grams of rice bran oil. 12 grams there, spot on, and another 12 grams there.

For the emulsifying wax, we're going to go with 14 grams. The emulsifying wax will also thicken the product, so if you think it looks a little bit runny initially, the emulsifying wax will soon sort that out for you. If I put in less than 14, I'd have a thinner product.

14 is the perfect consistency for this cream. Put that on the heat so that the wax melts, and I'll weigh out the water into this larger jug. I'm going to go with 50 grams of the lovely rose water.

I also could use the measurement on the side. Weighing the water allows me to be far more accurate. If I give that a little a little stir, I'll encourage the wax to melt a bit faster.

The wax has melted, the water is warm, now, we need to join the two together. Very slowly, I'm going to pour the oils and the melted wax into the water. And can you see? It's instantly going kind of milky.

Now, one other ingredient needed here, and that is energy, or agitation. If I didn't stir it, then the cream is just going to separate out, rather like a salad dressing. So I need to gently stir it, just for the next few minutes, to make sure that it doesn't want to separate.

Well, my face cream has thickened up beautifully, and I reckon that it's ready for a little bit of essential oil, and then I can get it in my jar. The essential oil I've chosen is rose bush essential oil, which has been diluted in jojoba oil. That's especially suitable for my dry skin.

I don't need too many drops, just lucky, because it's very expensive. Just eight drops in there, which is enough to help hydrate my skin, and certainly enough to give it a beautiful smell. I haven't put any preservative in this cream, I'm keeping it a 100 percent natural, which means that if I keep it in the fridge, it would probably have 6 weeks shelf life.

I aim to use it up within 6 weeks. I'll probably use it within 4. The last bit.

And then we have it, a face cream that will be beautiful to use .

The Making of Emergency Kimchi

It's KIMCHI time!!!! Hahaha... ni resepi kimchi plak.  Yang paling mudah dan senang untuk dibuat..

Ingredients:
Cabbage, salt, hot pepper flakesfish sauce, sugar, garlic, green onions, and carrot.
Directions:
  1. Cut 2 pounds of cabbage into thin strips about 2-3 inches in length and ¼ inch wide. Place into a large bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup cold water and ¼ cup kosher salt. Mix it well with your hands to properly salt the cabbage.
  3. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  4. Make kimchi paste by mixing these ingredients in a bowl:
    1/3 cup hot pepper flakes,
    1 tbs sugar,
    ¼ cup fish sauce,
    ¼ cup minced garlic,
3-4 stalks of chopped green onion (1/3 cup worth),
¼ cup’s worth of julienned carrot
  5. Wash and rinse the salted cabbage in cold water a couple of times. Drain the water.
  6. Mix the kimchi paste into the cabbage thoroughly.
  7. Put the kimchi into a container, jar, or plastic bag.
  8. Press the top of the kimchi down with your hands to protect your kimchi from being exposed to too much air.
  9. You can eat it right away, just like salad. Or keep it at room temperature and it will ferment in a few days. Fermented kimchi can be used for kimchi stir-fried rice or kimchi stew, and it will be delicious.

Japchae (One of Korean Traditional Foods)

My trial... uhuhu..
Hahaha... Kena deman Korea punya pasai (Lee Min-ho punya pasal la, tgok Kim Na Na masak untuk dia dalam City Hunter, sbb dia suka makan Japchae), den dah terjebak dengan makanan korea plak.. Hari ni den try buat Japchae (Cellophane noodles made from sweet potato with various vegetables).

Selamat mencuba!!! Dah cuba bagi sikit noo..

Ingredients:
Makes 4 servings.
How to prepare your ingredients before stir frying:
  1. Soak 5 dried shitake mushrooms in warm water for a few hours until they become soft. Squeeze the water out of them and slice thinly.
  2. Slice a package of white mushrooms (2 cups’ worth).
  3. Cut a carrot into thin matchstick-shaped pieces 5 cm long.
  4. Cut 7 -8 green onions into 7 cm long pieces.
  5. Slice one onion thinly.
  6. Slice 150 grams of beef into thin strips.
Now let’s start!
  1. Boil 2 bunches of noodles in boiling water in a big pot for about 3 minutes. When the noodles are soft, drain them and put in a large bowl.
  2. Cut the noodles several times by using scissors and add 1 tbs of soy sauce and 1 tbs of sesame oil. Mix it up and set aside.
*tip: Take one sample and taste it to see whether or not it’s cooked properly. If it feels soft, it’s finished.
  3. In the boiling water, add a bunch of spinach and stir it gently for 1 minute. Then take it out and rinse it in cold water 3 times. Remove any grit or dead leaves thoroughly while rinsing. Squeeze it gently to get the water out, then cut it into 5 cm pieces.
  4. Add ½ tbs soy sauce and ½ tbs sesame oil and mix it and place it onto the large bowl.
*tip: When you drain the hot water from the pot, don’t discard the hot water. Put it back into the pot so you can cook your spinach quickly.
  5. On a heated pan, put a few drops of olive oil and your carrot strips and stir it with a spatula for 30 seconds. Put it into the large bowl (don’t burn it!).
  6. Place a few drops of olive oil on the pan and add your sliced onion. Stir it until the onion looks translucent. Put it into the large bowl with your carrots.
  7. Place a few drops of olive oil on the pan and add the sliced white mushrooms. Stir it for a bit and then put it in the large bowl.
  8. Place a few drops of olive oil on the pan and add your green onions. Stir for 1 minute and put it into the large bowl.
  9. Place a few drops of olive oil on the pan and add your beef strips and your sliced shitake mushrooms. Stir it until it’s cooked well, then add 3 cloves of minced garlic, ½ tbs soy sauce and ½ tbs sugar. Stir for another 30 seconds and then put it into the large bowl.
  10. Add 2 tbs of soy sauce, 3 tbs of sugar, 2 tbs of sesame oil, and 1 ts of ground pepper to the large bowl. Mix all ingredients, then sprinkle 1 tbs of toasted sesame seeds on the top.
  11. Serve with rice and Kimchi, or as a side dish

Peaks and Valleys

Saya telah membaca sebuah buku motivasi yang saya rasa cukup terkesan dan mendalam.  Buku ini memang sesuai dijadikan panduan kepada sesiapa yang mengalamai masalah ups and downs at work and in life.

PEAKS AND VALLEYS (ups and downs)

#Discover three (3) things in your life:
1. How to get out of a valley sooner.
2. How to stay on a peak longer, and
3. How to have more peaks and fewer valleys in your future.

#It is natural for everyone everywhere to have peaks and valleys at work and in life.

#Peaks and valleys are not just the good and bad times that happen to you. They are also how you feel inside and respond to outside events.

#Peaks and valleys are connected.  The errors you make in today's good times create tomorrow's bad times.  And the wise thing you do in today's bad times creates tomorrow's good times.

#Peaks are moments when you appreciate what you have. Valleys are moments when you long for what is missing.

#You cannot always control external events, but you can control your personal peaks and valleys by what you believe and what you do.

#The path out of the valley appears when you choose to see things differently.

#You change your valley into a peak when you find and use the good that is hidden in the bad time.

#Many people don't realize that they need to be truly prepared if they want to stay on a peak longer. - managing your good times.

#Between peaks there are always valleys.  How you manage your valley determines how soon you reach your next peaks.

#If you do not learn in a valley, you can become bitter.  If your truly learn something valuable, you can become better.

#A plateau can be a time for you to rest, reflect and renew.

#If you can have fewer bad times when you appreciate and manage your good times wisely.

#Your ego can make you arrogant on the peak and fearful in the valley.  It keeps you from seeing what is real.  Your ego distorts the truth.

#The most common reason you leave a peak too soon is arrogance, masquerading as confident.  The most common reason you stay in a valley too long is fear, masquerading as comfort.

#A great way to get to your next peak is to follow your sensible vision.  Imagine yourself enjoying your better future in such specific, believable detail that you soon enjoy doing what takes you there!

#When you reach the higher peak, you might want to see if you can gain insights into deeper truths of your own.  You might want to listen with your heart to your own thoughts, and recall real moments in your work and life that will guide you to your own truths.  What you discover will become your own wisdom, not mine or anyone else's.

#How you manage your valley determine how soon you reach your next peak.

#The pain in a valley can wake you up to a truth you have been ignoring.

#Avoid believing things are better than they really are when you are on a peak, or worse than they really are when you are in a valley.  MAKE REALITY YOUR FRIEND.

#A personal peak is a triumph over fear.

#The difference between wishing for a better future and following a sensible vision is in the doing.  Wishing leads to no action, but when you truly follow a sensible vision, you wan to do the things that make it happen.

#Truly look for what was real, rather than live in illusion.

#You create a peak when you truly follow your sensible vision.  Your fear fades and you become more peaceful and successful.

#"I have also learned that both the good and bad times in my life are truly gifts, and that each  has great value, if I manage them well."

#You get out of a valley sooner when you manage to get outside of yourself:
At work by being of greater service, and in life, by being more loving.

#A joyful, rich life is a naturally changing landscape of peaks and valleys.

Mind Power Questions & Answers

Jom kita belajar.

Source : http://www.learnmindpower.com/questions/2007/12/

December 2007

Q I read your book about the subconscious mind twice, and I am really impressed by the power that the subconscious mind can have in theory. I want to ask you, if I tell myself before sleep many times, "Day after day I feel more and more light, free, smiley and happy!" will I feel that way after some time? I could wait 2 or 3 months. But I want to know will it work if I do only that every night before falling asleep. Thank you very much.
A Your question is a good one.It was the "if only" part that I liked. I have often preached that even with a minimum of effort you can see results. This method of yours combines affirmations and the subconscious. Also that time just before sleep is a powerful time to be doing it. Will it work? Absolutely.

Q I have few questions related to visualization and seeding.

1) Is it necessary to allocate a fixed time slot for both these exercises? I am asking this because my sleeping schedules are not fixed. Sometimes, I go to bed at 22:30 and sometimes 2.00 and then wake up accordingly. But, whenever I sleep or wake up I do visualization for about 12-15 minutes.

2) Whenever I visualize, no matter how I restrict myself to the Ôprecise method', slowly I'm dragged to the Ôfree flow method'. So is this ok? Also, whenever I visualize it's like an audio-visual movie, and I m always a part of that movie, and can listen, speak, emote, feel the things, smell them, taste them; it's like my real life experience. And the pictures are always positive, though I do not frame them.

This means my visualization and seeding happens altogether for about 15-17 minutes daily, before I sleep and wake up. So, how do you rate this?

A Your "free flow" style is perfect. I'm glad to see that you experimented with a few styles to find the one that feels right for you. That is excellent. It shows me you have a feel for Mind Power. Well done.

Regarding when to do the exercises. You don't have to have a specific time each day. The most important criteria is that you do them each day, without missing, so you can build up momentum. Often when I teach I will suggest you pick a time to do them each day, but that is to act as a reminder. In your situation it is better to do them as you suggested. Again, well done!

Q Hello John Kehoe! I read your books with pleasure. I think I have a little belief in myself, but how to advance my self-belief? Thanks beforehand.

A To have a little belief in yourself is a start. You can easily build on this. A very good technique to do so is to create an acknowledging list for yourself and refer to it daily. Create a list of ten or fifteen aspects about yourself that are positive. It's a creative process and lots of fun. When you have your list, refer to it daily, reading it over and feeling positive about yourself. This creates a success vibration. Your self-image is something you create and maintain with your thoughts. You can take an active role in uplifting your self-image.

I'm amazed at how few people take advantage of this technique. It is very powerful to practice this technique for one month, and it always produces results for those who take the time.

Q Have only just made contact with your Web Site. I really enjoyed reading your book A Vision of Power and Glory

I have a likely diagnosis of MSA linked to Parkinson's which of your books would help me most? Do you think Mind Power can be linked to helping my brain restore some of its damaged cells? I am particularly finding balance a challenge.

When will you be coming back to NZ?

A I'm not sure when I will be back in New Zealand, but I have done many tours there and love your country. Mind Power into the 21st Century is the classic and the book you should start with. There are also two excellent CDs, Healing Yourself and Health and Healing. We also have some excellent articles on this website.

When it comes to healing, nobody can promise you with one hundred percent certainty that it will always work every time; each circumstance is different. However, I can tell you that each year we receive news of thousands of people healing themselves using these techniques, so you have something very powerful to work with.

Q Hey there. I've been using Mind Power techniques for about a week now. Really loving it. My question refers to the relationship technique. I really like this one girl and have been using the visualization and seeding techniques. I basically keep seeding and visualizing the same thing every day. I visualize her phoning me and speaking to me. She has my number so yes it is possible for this thought to manifest. I am just curious as to whether this will actually work, as it is a decision she has to make, not me. So if I am seeding and visualizing this, will it affect her thoughts in order to manifest my wish?
A Rome was not built in a week, so while it is great that you have begun your practices, you need more time to see whether it is working or not. May I also advise that you broaden your visualization. Why does she have to call you? Why don't you call her? Maybe in your visualization you could see the two of you out on a date. After a few days of this, then call her and ask her out. Be proactive. Mind Power works best when it is followed by action. Don't just visualize and wait for it to happen. Be creative and act upon what you're visualizing.

Q I am very interested in your discussions of the ten virtues. I am at the moment going through a very unpleasant separation, and because we are in the process of splitting up assets, we need to have quite a bit of contact. I understand the toxicity that holding anger can create and how forgiveness can release that. My problem is that I feel I am being very unfairly treated and pressured into walking away with nothing. I feel my ex-partner is making me out to be a very horrible and selfish person, even though all my friends and family tell me that is the opposite of what I am. I guess my question is how do I forgive her when she continues to make out that I am so terrible and is currently in the process of trying to leave me with nothing. I realize she is also upset and hurt and I don't want to wait till this whole ordeal is over to let go of the bitterness and hurt that I feel. Do I have to accept that she is always going to think those things about me and stop trying to convince herotherwise?
A Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself. It is not about releasing the other person from some obligation or making amends; it is about releasing yourself from anger and toxicity. It is you who benefit from the process. When you understand this it becomes easier, because it is simply the smartest move you can make. I say easier because when emotions are involved it is never easy, and a divorce is always a traumatic process. But think about it logically, would forgiveness help make this time easier for you? Would you sleep better at night? Would you be calmer, more at peace? Might it lessen the tension between you two? If that answer is yes, then do it. Once again let me emphasis the point: Forgiveness is a gift you give yourself.

Q I love this website! I can't get enough of reading it. In fact I ordered your Happiness book andMind Power Into the 21st Century. Love them as well. How can Mind Power work for alcohol addiction?I have tried everything including self-hypnosis (which is related to Mind Power, I believe).I struggle with not wanting to drink yet I'm driven to drink all the time. This is a 30-year struggle, so I know it won't go away overnight.Your thoughts please.

A I'm glad you have found this website and are enjoying my books. Both of the books you mentioned are life changing and produce results.

Having taught Mind Power for thirty years, I have seen such a diversity of results in how people use the system to obtain what they want and need from life. I'm pleased to say that the Mind Power system works well for addictions. I have had many success stories from addicts and alcoholics who practice Mind Power and kick the habit, so we know it works.

You are right, however, in saying it won't go away overnight. Most recovered addicts and alcoholics state that it is a day-by-day process. That is where groups such as AA can be of benefit. The key is to focus on the person you wish to become and the life you wish to live, and to make a commitment to achieving that. Try being alcohol free for a day, then a week, then a month. If you can do a month you can do two months, and if you can do two months you can do a year.

I believe you can do it because I have seen others do it, and I know the power of the human spirit and will. I am supporting you one hundred percent and know you can do it.

Q How powerful are the effects of Mind Power versus the effects of practicing the 'golden rule' (give and it shall be given to you)
A The two can and do work together. Both are powerful and both are important. There is no versus, or having to choose one over the other. Both impact one's life in a very noticeable way. Both produce positive results and should be practiced. While one could choose just one practice and gain benefits from just the one, why not do both?

Q I first read your book about Mind Power a few years ago. Since that time I have achieved several big goals practicing the method. However, I had some serious personal problems since then, and now I am experiencing difficulties achieving mycurrent goals.

Please suggest how to "goback" and start achieving my goals again. The problem is that when I start practicing the exercises again, I suddenly start feeling afraid that it won't work this time. I do not understand whathas happened, and how it happened.

A It is not uncommon to fall back into our old habits and beliefs after having success with Mind Power. I call this "coasting" and talk about it in the CD Setting Up a Mind Power Program. Coasting occurs when, after the initial success of using Mind Power and obtaining results, rather than continuing with the exercises we "coast" on our momentum and the results continue... for a while. Mind Power is a lifelong practice, like exercising or diet. If you stop working out and watching your diet and start eating lots of cake and junk food, guess what? Your body eventually shows the results. So too with Mind Power: when you stop doing the exercises faulty beliefs and negative thoughts come back.

The good news is that you know Mind Power works and you have had success in the past, so simply start again from the beginning. The thought that "it won't work this time" is only a negative thought. No more, no less. So treat it as a negative thought and dismiss it (see past topic September 1997) .

Your new life is awaiting you. Begin practicing again today.
